The Lovely Loddon

A reassuringly unexciting paddle... none of the usual mishaps except:

  1. three times around a roundabout ...Mike!!

  2. a detour because the road we wanted to use was closed

  3. me messing up logistics and having to carry driving shoes on boat for 10k

  4. grumpy fisherman (but counterbalanced by a grateful one whom we helped get back his favourite fly caught in a branch at the other side of the river to him)

  5. me 'n Ed forgetting our paddles cos we were knackered (at the end of the trip, so that was OK.. ish)

  6. forgetting Bob (because he couldn't be ars*d to get up and actually that's not really forgetting, is it?)

  7. Darren leaving his grow suit in our car (grow suit?)

No, reassuringly unexciting. Weather glorious, water clear for most of the way, company excellent and newcomers so enthusiastic they wanted to go the extra 3k. So here are two of the photos.   The rest are on Facebook (see below why...)

These backwaters of the Thames are brilliant jewels of lush green foliage and sparkling water, what a find. Roll on the next one.

....did these two take the glasses back???
